Instagram is an awesome photo app that allows you to apply neat filters to some of your favorite smart phone photos and I love it. I have taken over 1,000 photos and plan to have many more thousand posted by the end of the year.
Which remind me, I need to get back to my photo posting here...but, anywho.
There are certain types of photos on Instagram that have no business being there and yet there they are over and over again.
Feet
Everyday there are dozens and dozens of pictures of other people's feet in my stream and I had no idea how much worse the situation would get when the temperatures started to rise....yuck.
I'm going to level with you, your feet are not cute and they are certainly not as cute as you think they are. Want to show off your new ultra hip shade of polish? Then show me a picture of the bottle, but for love of all things sanitary Stop. With. The. Feet.
Food
I'm sure the uber gourmet meal that you about to devour is the yummiest thing ever to be consumed by woman/man. But, I'm not there eating that food, enjoying the ambiance and the great company. I'm just seeing your veal on a stick atop a plate of veggies and I don't want to see any more of it.
Quotes
Enough with the quotes already social media. Put down the Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram "quote-crack" and check yourself into 12-step program so you can start coming up with awesomeness all your own.
Lists
In my book the only things worse than quotes on a PHOTO sharing site are lists. Lists of things you hope to accomplish, have accomplished, etc. Go post that stuff on your blog or write it in your diary, but enough with it on photo sharing sites.
#Porn
No not real porn, but the adding of the #porn hashtag to everything. There's #CloudPorn and #FoodPorn and #ShoePorn and the list goes downhill pretty quickly from there.

G-d, how I hate feet.
But I am guilty of the food shots. I feel like otherwise I would have nothing to share!
Because my kid and I are cute, but HOW many pictures of us could you take? ;)
Other things people tend to post about: coffee drinks with cool swirls on top, their nails, and pets. :) Not necessarily pet peeves - but there's definitely a lot of them.
The feet topic made me LOL.... 100% AGREE!
